The Greene Room

135 W Grand Ave, Comanche, Texas 76442

Where History Meets Celebration

Nestled in the heart of downtown Comanche, The Greene Room is more than an event space—it's a living piece of Texas history. Originally constructed in 1882 by J.W. Greene with help from two handwritten promissory notes, this building has stood as a silent witness to gunslingers, saloons, dry goods merchants, and decades of small-town stories.

Owned by the Greene family for nearly a century, the space has housed everything from Western Auto to a beloved pharmacy. Today, The Greene Room begins a new chapter—honoring its past while hosting unforgettable gatherings in a timeless setting.

With nearly 4,000 square feet of flexible space—including a distinctive elevated space ideal for intimate moments, live music, or head tables—the Greene Room adapts easily to whatever you dream up. From candlelit receptions to high-energy reunions, elegant dinners to low-key celebrations, this space was made for memories.

Come make history of your own.
